Ad Boumans is the manager ICT at Robein Leven, a independent life insurance company in the Netherlands. Robein Leven was founded in 1981, today employing 60 people.
RIS, Robein Information System is a complete life insurance system developed by Robein with Uniface. The development started in the early nineties with Uniface 5 and during the years the system grew and enhanced. More life insurance functionalities were added and the system covers all functionality a life insurance company needs, from the first initial contacts with a customer/prospect till the payment of the last life annuity. Started with a character based user interface the system has now a modern windows based graphical user interface created with Uniface 9. Also the system evaluated to a more open one where customers can view their data via internet, a connection with a digital archive, print management system and other systems.
Ad graduated from Middlesex University and joined Robein Leven as manager ICT in 2000. He is responsible for all software development, technical infrastructure and support.
