Andy HEYDON
VP, Software Development
CollegeNET Inc

Andy is the Vice President of Software Development at CollegeNET, a privately held company in the US that provides software and services to the higher education market.

CollegeNET’s flagship Uniface based product, R25, is an event management and scheduling application that is deployed at over 600 institutions worldwide. Even though it is a thick client application, it has an attractive and compelling user interface that has kept the product fresh. CollegeNET is moving to solely web-based, software as a service offerings, with X25 – graphical analysis of R25 data, and 25Live – an ajax styled revamp of R25 that relies on R25 WebServices to provide a REST based interface to R25 data. By providing this WebServices module, customers will not only retain access to their data in a hosted environment, it provides an architecture for CollegeNET to build interfaces and other scheduling type systems.

Andy graduated from Leeds University in 1985 and joined CollegeNET in 1996 after a series of development roles with companies in the UK, Europe and the US, including several large Uniface based projects. He is currently president of the North American Uniface Users Group and has presented regularly at their conferences as well as at previous CU2 events.
